Size is one part of the story

Business-size groups follow the definitions used in the RBA/APRA collection. They are not simply employee-count bands.

The averages also reflect differences in security, risk, loan size, term and borrower mix. A difference between small- and large-business rates does not establish how much any one of these factors contributed.

“All loans” combines fixed and variable rates; the variable-rate view keeps that interest type separate. The existing- and new-loan views describe different groups, rather than tracking the same borrowers.
